The pictures are made using a SLR-camera (Canon AE-1). Almost every photo has been taken "in situ", which means without taking the plants out of the greenhouse and always using natural daylight. After the pictures have been printed, they were scanned and, if necessary, edited digitally. In the photographic printing proces the colours of especially dark coloured flowers are more or less misinterpreted. The scanning process alsoe causes loss of sharpness. Until now we haven't been able to correct both effects completely.
Since September 2004 digital photography enters inhico.net. Hans van Pelt made great pictures of our orchids, using a Nikon d70. These pictures have more correct colours and and much better sharpness.
