De lip van Porroglossum-bloemen sluit zich na aanraking, doorgaans door een "bestuiver". Op de linker foto is een bloem te zien met de lip in gesloten positie. De rechter foto laat een bloem met open lip zien.

In flowers of Porroglossum the lip will close after a tactile stimulus, usually caused by a pollinator. The left picture shows a flower with the lip in close position. In the right picture the lip is in open position.
